TATE GALLERY: A Metadata Exploration
Welcome to an immersive and interactive visualization project that brings the art world closer to you. This project dives into the metadata of approximately 3,500 artists whose art has graced the esteemed ARTIST ROOMS - a shared collection between Tate and the National Galleries of Scotland (1947 - 2004).
As you explore the world map, you’ll encounter clusters representing artists from various regions. Each point on the map encapsulates rich information regarding the geolocation and the gender diversity among artists. This enables us to better understand the geographic dispersion and gender representation within the collections.
Go ahead, explore, and immerse yourself in the world of art!
Thanks to Tom Russell for mentoring me on this project.
